Trikala village is located in the Prefecture of Corinth in the Peloponnese on the slopes of Mount Ziria or Killini, in an altitude of 900-1.100m. There are three settlements, Ano, Kato and Mesaia Trikala.
Local attractions include mansions and churches with famous paintings (Ag. Dimitrios' temple, Monastery of Panagia, temple of Ag. Nikolaos, Monastery of Ag. Vasilios), but mainly the proximity of settlements with amazing forests of fir and black pine, lakes, caves, mountain refuges and labeled or not, road and hiking trails. Many beautiful walks are just 20'-30' from Trikala.
A walk on the plateau of Ziria (one of the biggest in Greece at 1,600 meters altitude) and Lake Dasiou, will bring you very close to the beautiful horses and even trekkers at beginner's level may follow the accessible signposted mountain paths. Let your children play with tadpoles during the spring at the lake and enjoy an outdoor picnic with your friends. We can organise that for you.
The highest peak of Ziria is in an altitude of about 2.300m and in the region there are two mountain refuges and a sports center with a ski chalet that offers many activities (skiing, sled, snowmobile, trails by jeep etc.).
